I have worked with Ed for nearly two years and have found him to be an extremely capable and talented attorney who works well with conflicting priorities and, often, under severe time pressure. The work product he has produced is always superior, and I have always found him more than willing to discuss strategies and, as appropriate, amend his written documents in light of these discussions. It has been a pleasure to work with him.
I look forward to having the opportunity to work with Ed again
Ed is a very knowledgable life science patent attorney. His understanding of complex scientific and clinical issues, his excellent drafting skills and his attention to detail together with his pleasant personality and collaborative work style contributed greatly to the successful prosecution of a broad range of patents. I look forward to having the opportunity to work with Ed again.
His scientific background made it quite easy for us to communicate
I had the pleasure of working with Ed on our intellectual property efforts when I was with Dynogen Pharmaceuticals. Specifically, Ed and I worked closely on design and writing of templates for IDMs, provisional patents and final patent applications covering pharmaceutical therapies for pelvic visceral dysfunctions. His scientific background made it quite easy for us to communicate and for him to guide me through the legal landscape. This made for a very productive relationship resulting in 7 awarded patents and over 30 applications thus far. In addition to his scientific and legal expertise, he is very personable and has a great sense of humor. I highly recommend him.
Creative, practical and candid
Ed provided patent assistance for my start-up company. He quickly came up to speed on a topic that was outside of his area f expertise and drafted language that was understandable to the patent office. He was creative in addressing challenges in regard to patentability and prior art. However, he was also practical and candid about what not to waste time on trying to patent. He was easy to work with from a personality perspective and his input was cost-effective.
Extremely efficient
Ed brought his considerable expertise to support for a challenging patent filing. He was able to identify and help us address key claim issues and anticipate reviewer concerns. Ed was extremely efficient in developing the patent and guiding the process through submission and response. I would welcome an opportunity to work with Ed again.
I’ve always appreciated Ed’s great work
I’ve always appreciated Ed’s great work. In particular, he communicates patent law and strategy with the heart of a teacher, which to me differentiates his service in a highly competitive patent prosecution market.
An asset to any organization that he joins
Ed is a sharp and diligent patent attorney, well focused upon bringing value to clients. He has strong skills and is an asset to any organization that he joins.
